As part of Solina, interns have the opportunity to work on real-world projects that can have a lasting impact on the organization. Participation in the program encourages cross-functional relationships with other departments and personal growth.

1. Project work: The project is a solution seeking, challenging, real day problem that not only fits the needs of your department/facility but also allows the intern to use his/her skills relating to their major of study.

2. Day to Day work: This should be general work that is important and requires some skill. The purpose of background work is to help understand the fundamentals of the process.

• Assist with daily product development lab task/duties
• Work directly with suppliers
• Assist with flavor development
• Working with flavor suppliers for development of flavor library
• Setting up and running sensory panels, writing the results, and reporting
• Caking studies, caking test, working with suppliers
• Running test and creating a matrix with the results
• Work on formulations

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Be Authorized to work in United States
• Must be fluent in English.
• Undergraduate Interns: Students who are currently enrolled in, or graduated in the last 6 months, from an associate or bachelor’s degree program.
• Graduate Interns: Students who are currently enrolled in, or graduated in the last 6 months, from a master’s degree or above program.
• Technical Interns: Students who are currently enrolled in, or graduated in the last 6 months, from a post-secondary educational or technical/vocational institution.
• Computer skills, Effective time management, Report writing, Understanding of lab equipment and use, Sensory knowledge.
