SUMMARY OF POSITION

To support the expansion efforts of our US team, we are seeking a technically skilled and results-driven Industrial Sales Director. This critical role is centered around enhancing sales efforts for our customized seasonings and sauces that deliver exceptional flavor solutions, as well as strengthening and expanding our relationships with major food processors like JBS, Cargill, Tyson, and Smithfield Foods. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in food and beverage applications, specifically related to the sales cycle of customized seasonings and sauces, along with established connections in the food manufacturing industry. This position demands the ability to oversee large accounts. Your efforts will be key to driving our sales initiatives and solidifying our standing as a preferred flavor solution provider in the market.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals within the customized seasonings and sauces sector.
  • Forge and deepen relationships with key industrial accounts, including JBS, Cargill, Tyson, and Smithfield Foods.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food and beverage sector to expand the company's market presence and customer base.
  • Lead contract negotiations with major clients, ensuring profitable and sustainable business deals.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the sales team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize market research and customer feedback to inform product development and innovation in customized seasonings and sauces.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Business Management to align sales strategies with product offerings and market trends.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and satisfaction, addressing and resolving customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance Solina’s visibility and establish professional relationships.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered.  Typical qualifications would be:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the food industry, with a strong focus on customized seasonings, sauces, and flavor solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large accounts within the food processing sector, including experience with companies like JBS, Cargill, Tyson, and Smithfield Foods.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring a sales team.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a keen eye for identifying and closing profitable business deals.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage applications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for identifying market trends and leveraging insights for business growth.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and adaptability.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, preferred.
