SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Quality Excellence Manager plays a critical role in upholding and advancing Solina USA’s food safety and quality programs. This role is responsible for setting and enforcing non-negotiable quality and food safety standards, supporting regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position collaborates closely with U.S. manufacturing facilities, supply chain teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure consistent, safe, and high-performing products.

 

The Quality Excellence Manager also plays a key role in training, auditing, digital transformation, and advising on capital investments to align with quality standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Establish and maintain Quality and Food Safety Standards: Lead implementation of group-defined Non-Negotiable (NN) standards within U.S. facilities and co-manufacturers. Oversee testing protocols and ensure alignment with operational teams.
  • Lead continuous improvement and education initiatives: Design and deliver food safety and quality training programs to enhance knowledge and compliance across sites.
  • Support regulatory compliance and audit readiness: Provide guidance and audit support to ensure Solina USA’s operations and co-manufacturing partners comply with FDA, USDA, GFSI, and internal standards.
  • Troubleshoot and support issue resolution: Assist regional QA teams with site visits, audits, and crisis response for product quality or safety incidents.

 

  • Advise on capital projects: Provide expertise on quality and food safety requirements during M&A, plant expansions, and layout planning.
  • Champion continuous improvement: Represent Quality in Group Ops initiatives, contributing to efficiency, risk mitigation, and operational excellence across U.S. manufacturing sites.
  • Support digital transformation: Lead or participate in quality-related digital projects such as QC plan optimization, specification management, and data-driven decision-making tools.
  • Horizon scanning: Monitor emerging regulatory trends, industry best practices, and risk factors in areas such as allergens, foreign material control, and sanitation to proactively evolve standards and processes.

Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of FDA, USDA, FSMA, and GFSI (e.g., BRC, SQF) standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in auditing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Effective communicator and trainer with experience developing and delivering technical content.
  • Project management experience, particularly with digital systems, quality software, or ERP platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality systems; experience with digital QMS or specification platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with foreign body prevention, allergen management, sanitation validation, and cleaning systems.
  • Experience participating in or leading quality aspects of plant layout, construction, or major capital investments.
  • Experience working with co-manufacturers or third-party production partners.

Pay Range

USD $85,000.00 - USD $105,000.00 /Yr.
