Position Summary:
Work requires the use of hand tools, power tools and light and heavy duty equipment. Works as a crewmember under supervision or may perform tasks independently after receiving direction. Receives daily assignments; employees are expected to perform a broad variety of routine and assist with complex installation, maintenance and repair duties. Responds to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
Position Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of motorized and hand tools and equipment used in maintaining and repairing facilities, buildings, and grounds particular to work area
- Knowledge of basic construction skills
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices and procedures
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation techniques
- Ability to work independently and with others and perform duties with minimum supervision
- Ability to perform a variety of heavy manual labor tasks for extended periods of time and in unfavorable environmental conditions
- Operate a variety of motorized and hand tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Trouble shoot, identify, and correct routine maintenance and repair problems
- Learn, interpret, and apply standards, policies, and procedures
- Lead and understand maps, schematics, as-built drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Perform routine mathematical computations accurately

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:
- Electrical troubleshooting & use of electrical troubleshooting tools preferred
- High School or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience preferred
- Must complete Orientation prior to first day of assignment
- Must complete initial safety procedures
- Must complete Ergonomics, P.P.E. and L.O.T.O./Machine Specific training
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs safely
- Must be able to go up and down stairs if required
- Must complete Ergonomics, P.P.E. and L.O.T.O./Machine Specific training
- Must complete all courses in necessary training schedule within 90 days of assuming position; during that time employee may perform duties under supervision of trained operator

The packaging production line Machine Operator performs a variety of functions including but not limited to the operation of high speed packaging equipment, completion of daily production and/or QA paperwork. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within the quality parameters established.
The Blending Department Machine Operator is responsible for taking materials staged by the Pre-weigh personnel and adding them to the mixing Kettle blender to manufacture Saratoga’s finished blends. The Machine Operator must follow documented cleaning and mixing directions to blend the product to specification. The position requires the ability to calculate and reconcile raw materials on batch cards for blending formulas. Additionally, this position requires HACCP Monitored Training to ensure full compliance to our food safety programs.

As part of our FS/QA team, you would conduct routine sanitation checks, ensuring that HAACP and FDA regulations are strictly enforced. Providing technical expertise to track product from start to finish and develop corrective actions when needed. You will be responsible for ensuring that we are able to safely deliver the best products to customers and consumers. As QA Manager you are responsible for managing the Plant Quality Assurance and Food Safety Department. Ensures high quality products that meet customer expectations while maintaining compliance with FDA/other applicable regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Provides solid leadership to achieve company, plant, and department goals through various management, evaluation and improvement skills and strategies that improve overall quality and profitability. Masters and implements all QA policies, programs and procedures. Manages and effectively follows up on multiple projects and assignments.
Saratoga, a leading commercial food ingredient seasoning company serving branded and private-label food manufacturers nationwide is currently in need of a Maintenance Technician on X shift (2:00PM - 10:00pm).
This position reports to the Plant Engineer and is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
